Music for Nausea?

I don’t know about you, but for me this last year or so had enough economic ups and downs to make me nauseous. Whether you’re 30 days or 30 years away from retirement, these changes have caused most of us to rethink whatever financial “plans” we thought we had.

This coming Tuesday, September 15, at 9 pm (check your local listings), PBS presents a new documentary that addresses many of these issues - “The Retirement Revolution: A New Reality". Hosted by ABC’s Paula Zahn, the film takes an in-depth look at changes that are affecting all of us.

I had the privilege of composing and producing the music score for this special. Creating music that reflected the real tragedy of Alzheimer’s, the potential hope of an “encore career”, and even the struggle of handling new financial problems turned out to be a pretty interesting challenge.

You can listen to a few shortened music cues from the score by clicking on the links below (or copying and pasting these links into your browser).

I hope you get a chance to watch this special!
