Music for the Iraq War
I recently had a chance to compose music for a new PBS film called "The Last 600 Meters". Brilliantly produced by Michael Pack, the film tells the amazing story of the two biggest battles of the Iraq war - Fallujah and Najaf - through the eyes of those who fought them.
The challenge of composing this score was finding a way to combine the ethnic music of Iraq with all of the emotions of this film - sadness, tension, military struggle, honor, and even pride. The final product hopefully conveys these emotions in a way that respects those who were involved in these battles.

Enjoy the samples - and have a wonderful holiday season.
