Music for Harvard
Without being too personal here, let's just say that my grades in high school never made me a candidate for Harvard. Not that I was all that crushed by this situation - I suppose both Harvard and I were content with our arrangement not to be involved with each other.
Last month, that all changed. I got a call from Michael Kolowich at Diginovations (Concord, MA), asking me to compose a score for a new film they were doing for the Harvard Business School. Despite my previous "arrangement" with Harvard, I was more than happy to write music for this film. For the score, I used a a small chamber ensemble plus electronic instrument "samples" to achieve a prestigeous but not "stuffy" sound.

Despite the very quick turnaround, everybody (including Harvard) seemed pleased with the music. Maybe I should reconsider our relationship...
