Music Score for a new Video Game

A couple of years years ago, I had the privilege of composing the music score for the award-winning PBS series "A Force More Poweful". Narrated by Ben Kingsley, this series focused on some of the 20th century's most important but least understood stories; how millions had chosen to battle different forces of brutality and oppression with nonviolent weapons - and won.

Based on this series, filmmaker Steve York (in conjunction with BreakAway games) is developing a brand new type of video game. AFMP is the first and only game to teach the methods of influencing or changing the political environment using nonviolent methods. Although the game will be for sale to the public, it's main intended use is by activists and leaders of nonviolent resistance and opposition movements throughout the world. How's that for a goal?

Here are a few short music samples from the score that I'm composing for the game. Some of the melodic themes are taken from the filmscore, but I've added lots of new themes, percussive and rhythmic elements.
